Small Acts of Art: Mobile Workshop

Date: 11/17/2020
Time: 4:30 pm-6:00 pm

Expressing and receiving gratitude is good for our physical and mental health. With this in mind we’ll reflect on the people that bring joy, beauty, wisdom, and more to our lives. Then, using collage and other craft techniques, we’ll make eco-friendly mobiles inspired by these individuals. Once complete, your unique artwork will be ready to give to your special person. This program is for children in grades 1-4 and is limited to 15 participants.

Participants provide: Scissors, glue, paint brush, pen and/or pencil, ruler, and a few magazines, catalogues, pieces of junk mail, and/or colorful scrap papers.

*Additional materials needed: wood stick or dowel, embroidery, threads, metal washers, and lightweight cardboard. If you do not have these additional materials, you may pick up a packet at the library on Saturday, November 14th from 10am-2pm, or Monday, November 16th from 10am-5pm. You may also choose 1-2 discarded library books or magazines from a bin in the library to use for your project.

**Participants must register by Monday, November 9, in order to receive the packet of additional materials. Otherwise please plan to provide your own.

Participants will receive the link to Zoom on Monday, November 16.
